Any idea about Iran 'Everlasting Tiles'?

‘Everlasting Tile’ of Iran Cultural Heritage Handicrafts and Tourism Organization has been installed at Iranian poet's house.

‘Everlasting Tile’ of Iran Cultural Heritage Handicrafts and Tourism Organization has been installed at a house belonging to Iranian poet Mohammad-Ali Sepanlou.

The plaque was put up Tuesday at the front door of the late prominent poet/translator’s house in Tehran as a memorial and tribute to Sepanlu’s contributions to Iran culture.

On your visit to the Iranian capital city, you may run into such “Everlasting tiles” which are telling signs for dwellings of prominent Iranian figures in art and culture.

Mohammad-Ali Sepanlou was an Iranian poet, author, and literary critic. Besides writing poetry collections, Sepanlou translated works of several renowned writers and poets such as Albert Camus into Persian.

Sepanlou was awarded the French Legion of Honour for his scholarly and literary achievements.
